Advanced Conversational Hebrew:
Israel Through Contemporary Short Fiction
(Summer 2026)
In this course we will read contemporary short fiction in Hebrew selected from the works of leading Hebrew authors published in the last three years, including Etgar Keret. Students will read the stories before class, allowing us to explore and discuss various aspects of contemporary Hebrew culture and Israeli society in Hebrew.
The texts and vocabulary aids will be provided. This class is for students with a high intermediate to advanced level of conversational Hebrew.
