Senator Raphael Warnock
America’s Poverty of Moral Imagination
In conversation for the publication of
The Crooked Places Made Straight
As we mark the semiquincentennial of America and look ahead to Juneteenth, we invite you to an evening of conversation with Georgia’s Senator Reverend Raphael G. Warnock, a transformational voice in Congress and the pastor of Martin Luther King, Jr.’s Ebenezer Baptist Church, upon the publication of his new book, The Crooked Places Made Straight.
Rooted in his sermon on the Book of Isaiah, Senator Warnock draws on faith, moral tradition and the prophetic call for justice to explore the defining challenges of American life, including voting rights, gun violence, mass incarceration, poverty, political corruption and the climate crisis. He offers a compelling vision of a more just and equitable America, a “moral topography” that centers love, justice and the possibility of a thriving future for every child.
