SERIES
Israel’s First Families
Imagine flying to Oslo to watch your father receive the Nobel Peace Prize; witnessing your abba tie himself in knots over prickly domestic and international negotiations; seeing your grandmother be sworn in as the first female prime minister of the state; or gazing at your father as he rushes off to war – and later learning that he stopped the enemy in its tracks.
The Temple Emanu-El Streicker Center is honored to welcome four children and grandchildren of former Israeli prime ministers to discuss their memories of the historic figures who shaped the state: How did they deal with the challenges and crises that confronted the nation? How did they shield their families from the stress? And what do they want us to know about their fathers and grandmother?
Moderated by Emmy-winning journalist Yael Lavie.
