Since he exploded onto the culinary scene in 2021, Jake Cohen hasn’t missed a beat.
He bakes and sells Jewish treats online, keeps his 2.5 million Instagram and TikTok followers busy in the kitchen (at least in their imaginations), just started his own cooking show, has written two cookbooks . . . and is now launching his third.
Still, the greatest pleasure of the effervescent Nice Jewish Boy from New York, as he calls himself, is to entertain friends, a circle that includes quite a cast of characters, including Katie Couric, Benny Blanco, Modi, Alex Edelman, Joan Nathan and Debra Messing. They make guest appearances in Jake’s latest book, Dinner Party Animal, which lays out a path to developing your own prowess in becoming one, whether for a major feast, a casual brunch, a last-minute dinner for friends and even for the ultimate challenges of Passover and Thanksgiving.
Jake joins us with some of his pals featured in the new cookbook, who will talk about his bagel spreads, pita parties and chicken dinners to make you the host with the most. Guests include Modi Rosenfeld, Alex Edelman, Benj Pasek and others.
