An Evening with

Congressman
Adam Schiff
In Conversation with
Robert De Niro

Just how much political danger does America face? Anarchy? Autocracy? Paralysis?

A decade ago, the question would have seemed far-fetched. But now, a growing number of political leaders, commentators and activists warn that vital institutions have been so weakened that the prospect of the unraveling of our democracy is terrifyingly real.

After years of sounding the alarm over the resurgence of dictatorship outside the United States, Representative Adam Schiff came reluctantly to believe that America was in equal peril during the investigation he led into President Trump’s Russia and Ukraine-related abuses of power.

In his first book, Midnight in Washington, Schiff chronicles how he came to that conclusion, and he will join us to provide a behind-the-scenes glimpse into the former president’s first impeachment and the surrender of people he’d once admired to the betrayal of the republic.

Adam Schiff, a California Democrat, has served in the House of Representatives since 2001. As chairman of the House Permanent Select Committee on Intelligence, he led the first impeachment of President Donald J. Trump.

Congressman Schiff will be in conversation with Robert De Niro, two-time Academy Award winning actor and political activist.
