Advanced Hebrew:

Israeli Society as Reflected in Film

(ONLINE)

For those with high to advanced levels of conversation, this class will offer a chance for serious practice – and for an exploration of Israeli society. Each week students will view an Israeli film that highlights a different aspect of life in Israel on their own. Class will be devoted to discussion of the films in Hebrew. A vocabulary list will be provided in advance.

Miriam Meir is a Senior Lecturer and Area Coordinator of Jewish Languages at The Jewish Theological Seminary and Director of the Ivriyon Hebrew Immersion program for Judaic Studies teachers. She’s been teaching Hebrew for more than 20 years.
